These guidelines are designed to protect your interests, clarify our services, and outline your responsibilities as a traveler. BOOKING
- Booking Amount:
- The booking amount per person is Rs. 5000.00 (Rupees five thousand only).
- The remaining amount must be paid at least 30 days before the journey.
- Bus Seating:
- Seats on the bus are allotted according to the booking sequence.
- Solo Guest Booking:
- Solo guests cannot be guaranteed a confirmed booking as rooms are twin-sharing.
- A solo guest may receive a confirmed booking with payment of additional room charges, subject to room availability.
- Hotel Room Types:
- Most hotel rooms are either double-bedded or triple-bedded.
- For triple-bedded rooms, a floor mattress may be provided instead of a cot.
- A special discount is available for guests using triple-bedded accommodation, with the discount amount varying by tour.
- Note: Early bookings do not provide preference for room allotments.
- Child Charges:
- Children aged 5 to below 12 years: 15% discount (without hotel bed).
- Children aged 3 to below 5 years: 50% discount (without hotel bed).
- Tour Price Exclusions:
- Tour prices do not include entry fees to sights or monuments.
- GST @ 5% is applicable as per law.

CANCELLATION
- Cancellation Charges by Passenger:
- If the journey is canceled by the passenger, they are subject to the following charges:
- Cancellation Charges Before 30 Days of Journey:
- If canceled more than 30 days prior to the journey, the cancellation charge is Rs. 1500 per person.
- Cancellation Charges Within 30 Days of Journey:
- Charges based on days before the journey, as shown below:
- Between 29 and 25 days — 10% of the total price + Rs. 1500
- Between 24 and 20 days — 15% of the total price + Rs. 1500
- Between 19 and 10 days — 28% of the total price + Rs. 1500
- Between 9 and 5 days — 33% of the total price + Rs. 1500
- Between 4 and 3 days — 50% of the total price + Rs. 1500
- GST @ 5% is applicable as per the Act.
- Charges based on days before the journey, as shown below:
- No Refund for Cancellations Within 72 Hours:
- No refund will be given if the ticket is canceled within 72 hours of departure or thereafter.
- Cancellation Procedure:
- Cancellations are valid only if the Advanced Receipt or Ticket is surrendered at our office.
- For passengers outside Kolkata, cancellations can be made by letter or email only.
- The organization is not responsible if such letters or emails are not received on time.
- No Refund for Untraveled Portions:
- No refund will be provided for any untraveled part of the tour due to illness or any other reason.
- Full Deposit Refunds:
- No full refund will be given if the tour is canceled by the company.
- In cases of cancellation due to natural calamities or abnormal situations, passengers must compensate the company at 10% of the tour price.
- Cancellation Due to Itinerary Changes:
- If an itinerary change leads to ticket cancellation after reservation, passengers must pay cancellation charges as per the rules.
- No Refund for Missed Departure:
- No refunds will be entertained if a passenger fails to arrive at the station in time for departure.
- Passengers may join the tour at the next station at their own cost.
- Claim Period for Deposits:
- Claims for any amounts deposited must be made within 6 months from the tour commencement date.
- No claims will be entertained for deposits after this period.
GENERAL RULES
- Non-Ownership of Services:
- Kundu Special does not own any bus, rail, hotel, or aircraft, nor does it control them.
- All efforts will be made to ensure a comfortable tour and adhere to the schedule.
- Kundu Special is not responsible for any delays or program changes, even at the last moment.
- Right to Modify Rules:
- The organization reserves the right to change, delete, or modify rules as necessary.
- Ticket Cancellation Rights:
- The organization retains the right to cancel any ticket at any time, even after sale, without explanation.
- Luggage Allowance:
- Guests may bring one 22” suitcase and one handbag only.
- Accident Liability:
- The organization is not liable for any accidents and does not provide compensation for any damages.
- Reliance on Authorities:
- Rail-related matters rely on the railway authority, and bus/car travel relies on transport authorities or local systems.
- Changes to Itinerary:
- The itinerary may change due to unavoidable reasons, and the organization is not liable if scheduled locations are not reached on specific days or times.
- Cost Adjustments:
- Passengers must bear any increase in bus or rail fares or other price hikes.
- Laundry Restrictions:
- Washing clothes at the hotel is strictly prohibited.
- Responsibility for Personal Belongings:
- Passengers are responsible for their belongings and should monitor them closely.
- The organization assists with loading and unloading (except handbags) but accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
Note: Our proficient and experienced staff and managers strive to make journeys smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. If there are any complaints, management will take appropriate actions. Empathy and politeness are highly appreciated.
FACILITIES
- Food Service during the Tour:
- Bed Tea: Provided (not during train journeys).
- Breakfast and Tea: Included.
- Afternoon Lunch: Includes rice, dal, vegetable curry, fish/chicken/eggs, and chutney.
- Evening Snacks: Tea, biscuits, and other snacks.
- Dinner: Options include rice or chapati, dal, veg or non-veg curry, chutney, and sweets.
- Note:
- Both lunch and dinner offer veg and non-veg options.
- Supply of tea, breakfast, fish/chicken/eggs, and sweets is limited.
- Separate cooking is arranged for widows and vegetarians.
- Passenger Care:
- Dedicated Staff: Available to address the needs and complaints of passengers.
- Special Assistance for Lady Passengers: Staff provides help and support for lady passengers traveling without a guardian.
- Extra Care: Given to elderly and child tourists.
- LTC/LFC Certificate:
- Available for passengers eligible for LTC (Leave Travel Concession) claims in their organizations.
- The certificate can be collected from the Kolkata office for submission to organizations to settle claims after the journey.
- Medical Assistance:
- First Aid and Basic Medication: Provided for minor illnesses and injuries.
- Serious Medical Needs: For severe injuries, medical expenses are to be borne by the passenger.
- Identity Card Requirement:
- Passengers may need to present their identity cards when requested during the tour.
